Prices are recalculated on our server every time an item is added to the cart, so the figure charged is never supplied by the browser and cannot be tampered with. Each cart line is a real Shopify line item, which means tax, shipping, discount codes, receipts and order exports all behave exactly as they do for any other product.

Can Shopify calculate prices by size without an app?
Not reliably. Shopify charges the variant price at checkout, so a calculated figure shown on the page can differ from the amount actually taken. Charging the calculated amount needs an app.
Does it work with my theme?
Yes. The storefront widget installs as a theme app extension, so there is no Liquid to paste and it survives a theme change.
Will tax and shipping still work?
Yes. Each cart line is a real Shopify line item at a real price, so tax, shipping rates, discounts and order exports behave normally.
Can customers order a decimal amount?
Yes. That is the point: someone needing 3.7 square metres can buy exactly that instead of rounding to a fixed variant.
Does it support bulk discounts?
Yes, through tiered pricing. Define quantity bands with their own rates and the correct band is chosen automatically.
